The shocking footage comes as US student Otto Warmbier, who had been held prisoner in North Korea for 17 months, died just days after North Korea released him from captivity in a coma. The 22-year-old was arrested while visiting as a tourist and accused of trying to steal an item bearing a propaganda slogan, according to North Korean media.

North Korea conducts public executions for theft, watching South Korea media: report

North Korea carries out public executions on river banks and at school grounds and marketplaces for charges such as stealing copper from factory machines, distributing media from South Korea and prostitution, a report issued on Wednesday said.

It has been known for at least 60 years that North Korea engages in human rights abuses, false imprisonment, torture and murder. It has therefore been irresponsible of the United States Government to allow it’s citizen to travel to North Korea.

22 Year old College Student Otto Warmbier’s death could have been prevented if there had been a Travel Ban to North Korea. Therefore the US Government is Responsible for his death.

Even after Otto Warmbier’s death, I haven’t heard anyone mention that a Travel Ban to North Korea should be implemented.

What STUPID people we have running this country.

9-26-17 UPDATE: Coroner’s report adds some details on Otto Warmbier death

A Hamilton County coroner’s report dated Sept. 11 showed cause of death for Otto Warmbier, 22, as complications of brain-damaging oxygen deprivation through “an unknown insult more than a year prior to death.” The medical term for his condition was called “chronic anoxic/ischemic encephalopathy.” Manner of death was listed as “undetermined.”

Warmbier’s parents told a Fox News TV show Tuesday that North Korea tortured and “destroyed” the University of Virginia student. Trump tweeted afterward: “Otto was tortured beyond belief by North Korea.”

The parents on Tuesday, for the first time, described publicly in detail the condition his family found him in when they went aboard an air ambulance that arrived June 13 in Cincinnati. His father said he was making an “involuntary, inhuman sound,” ”staring blankly into space jerking violently,” and was blind and deaf with his head shaved. He said his mouth “looked like someone had taken a pair of pliers and rearranged his bottom teeth.”

University of Cincinnati Health system doctors treating him in June said Warmbier arrived in a state of “unresponsive wakefulness” and had suffered a “severe neurological injury” of uncertain cause.

What was done to Otto Warmbier was inhumane and I’m looking forward to seeing North Korea pay for what they did.
