Joseph diGenova Conspiracy Theories About FBI and DOJ

Trump adds TV pundit to legal team

New reports indicated Trump was adding Conspiracy Theorist Joseph diGenova to his legal team in the Russia probe.

Per videos and news sources, Mr. diGenova has endorsed the notion that a secretive group of F.B.I. agents concocted the Russia investigation as a way to keep Mr. Trump from becoming president. “There was a brazen plot to illegally exonerate Hillary Clinton and, if she didn’t win the election, to then frame Donald Trump with a falsely created crime,” he said on Fox News in January. He added, “Make no mistake about it: A group of F.B.I. and D.O.J. people were trying to frame Donald Trump of a falsely created crime.”

diGenova theory about the FBI wanting to GET Trump makes no sense.  It was FBI Director James Comey who handed the 2016 election to Trump on a silver platter by announcing days before the election the FBI was re-opening the investigation into Hillary Clinton.

Ironically, Comey’s announcement which helped Trump get elected ultimately got himself fired because he refused to pledge loyalty to Trump and do his bidding to stop the Russia investigation.

In the above video, Trump admits he fired Comey to stop the Russia investigations.

Firing Comey to stop the Russia investigations is CLEARLY an obstruction of justice. As an attorney, diGenova should know this, but it appears (IMO) he chooses to ignore facts and instead say what conservatives / right-wingers want to hear to further his own career and popularity.

As legal team withers, Trump adds cable news legal pundits

As Donald Trump loses his lead Russia lawyer and adds more TV lawyers to his legal team, Rachel Maddow wonders if Trump is preparing a legal defense or a cable news PR campaign.
